Welcome Home: the art of burning Man

“It’s a city wherein almost everything that happens is created entirely by its citizens, who are active participants in the experience.” Each year thousands of people gather in Black Rock City, Nevada to celebrate art and embrace community. The late summer event is an experiment and influenced by ten main principles: radical inclusion, radical self-reliance, radical self-expression, communal effort, civic responsibility, gifting, decommodification, participation, leave no trace, and immediacy. 

“Welcome Home” features the work of 10 bay area artists : Harold Baize, Michael Emery, Clody Cates, Peter Hudson, Jordan Layman, Sonia Le, Jenny Markowitz, Sean Monaghan, Geoffrey Nelson, Adrian Rasmussen, Ryan Uzilevsky
