LIVIN'

Four artists told their story of living and working in Santa Cruz through their art form and the influences of earning a living to make art. Aaron Clarke, Carlos Dye, David Gardner, and Peter Saporito walk you through their town using four distinct styles and an incredibly vibrant palate. While their work styles and materials are vastly different, the feeling “home” or “town” or “daily life” becomes a common theme for all four working artists. “Livin” could be another example of “practice makes perfect” or “tenacity pays off.” Either way, the day job clearly influences the art for each one of these prolific and sharp makers. On the off hours, each artist picks up the brush or camera and creates work beyond the industry.
